When to feed

The wild birds in your garden will appreciate being fed all year round. This will especially help them in harsh winter months when natural foods are scarce and during the nesting season when they are busy feeding young.

Where to site the feeder

This feeder is made from robust materials for all weather protection. Birds need to feel safe when feeding. Site your feeder so that it provides all round vision to it's visitors and ideally not more than 1.8M ( 6 foot ) from convenient cover such as trees and shrubs. If you are replacing an old feeder, leave it in place until the birds become accustomed to the new one, this could take several weeks.

Feeder hygiene

Please follow these hygiene rules to reduce the risk of infections.

• It is recommended by the RSPB that you clean your feeders regularly using 5% disinfectant solution and then rinse thoroughly afterwards.
• Always wash your hands after handling the feeder.
